I’m on my way to art basel. About to lose my virginity, figuratively speaking, because this is my first art fair. I will be exposed to a massive amount of art. To document the status quo, I figured it’d be good to list all the artists of contemporary art I can think of.

Here is the list:

Peter Piller, Jonathan Monk, Nina Canell, Fiona Banner, Wim Delvois Delvoye, Petri Ala-Maunus, Fischli & Weiss, Mike Kelley. That’s it. (See, I can’t even spell them correctly! Thanks for pointing that out.)

It’s not a very long list. From these artists I have seen works that I like for a variety of reasons. The list of artworks I can remember the title of, however, is even shorter:

Ungeklärte Fälle by Peter Piller
Kandors by Mike Kelley

My visit to art basel (link) will hopefully change all this. They better have good art there. They’re supposed to, right?
